Climbing A Mountain

There are times the mountains of life seem too difficult to climb.   But.  I’ve learned nothing will change until the mountain is conquered. The climb is never easy; however, each time I’ve made it to the top, the view of the “God of more” is amazing. There’s no way I could have made it on my own. The climb takes more strength and power than humanly possible. But, with God, nothing is impossible! As I begin to climb another mountain, I know:

God is present.

God is faithful to enable the weakest to climb the highest mountain.

God is good all the time.

I share my prayer with my friends who are climbing a mountain, knowing God will make all things possible:

How great You are.

You pay attention to every detail and bring good out of it all.

You are the answer.

You are wisdom.

You are holy.

You are power.

You give strength to the weak and power to the powerless.

I come into Your presence . . .

  • Accepted . . . Christ bore my burden of condemnation.
  • Alive . . . Christ took on my death, setting me free from the grave.
  • Amazed . . . Christ’s costly grace is always at work in me.
  • Always blessed . . . Christ is my faithful Friend, never leaving or failing me.
  • Anticipating . . . Christ gives more than what I will ever ask, think, or imagine.

I give you my life today.

Guide me to Your will which is set into motion on earth as it is in heaven.

I will follow.

I will climb this mountain in Your power, knowing it’s only possible to take this journey because You are with me.  You make beginnings out of endings, breaking through the darkness, giving hope to the hopeless.

You never let me down.

You carry me when I can no longer walk, giving me strength as an eagle that soars from the valley to the mountaintop.

No matter the day, no matter the circumstance, You are faithful.

Christ in me,

Christ through me.

Christ over me.

Christ under me.

Christ around me.

In the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

I’m praying for all mountain climbers today.
