Defining, challenging, and life-changing words.

Words matter.  Words define, challenge, and change the mind and heart.  Words encourage and discourage, give life and bring death.

Today, I have the opportunity to give words of love and commitment as I officiate a wedding.  I have the responsibility to make sure each word tells their story of where they’ve been and where they’re going.  Each word matters, especially as they give their consent, make their vows, and place rings on one another’s fingers.  I’m always amazed at how the words not only impact the couple but the friends and family who come to celebrate the life-defining moment.

The wedding celebration is at Green Villa Barn, just outside of Independence in the Willamette Valley. It’s a beautiful setting.

Tomorrow, I have the opportunity to share words that were said by Jesus in the ancient days.  A crowd gathered as Jesus explained how to live a blessed life, defining the identity and purpose of those who chose to live the blessed life.  The powerful words set into motion centuries ago, teach us a radical way to live today.

Come tomorrow.  There’s some defining, challenging, and life-changing words to be discussed and received.  It will make a transformational difference in how you see yourself and what you do with the rest of your life!

We will focus on Jesus’s words in Matthew 5:1-16.
