I Have Hope

0

I know it’s hard.

I know it’s especially hard as you process what’s in front of you.  This part of the hard of life gives way to it all:

Faith.  Doubt.  Courage.  Fear.  Hope.  Hopelessness.  Confidence.  Worry.  Stress.  Strength.

I wish it were not so. And, I know, I’m not the only one that wants to do something to change what you are facing right now; however, there does not seem to be anything that can be done at this point.  Except to pray.

Prayer may not feel enough.  But. I’ve seen and experienced what happens when people pray.  And, the first thing that often comes when people pray is HOPE.

As I prayed for you, I thought about the collection of prayers rising because of what you are going through.

I believe God responds to every word of each prayer rising from each person.  There are many theological reasons I believe,  but when you get down to it all, it can be explained in one of my many favorite sentences  (verses) of the Bible:

 “But this I call to mind,

and therefore I have hope:

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;

his mercies never come to an end;

they are new every morning;

great is your faithfulness”  (Lamentations 3:21-23, ESV).

These are words of hope.  As I look deep into these words, I see more.  I see that the indescribable, amazing love, mercy, and faithfulness of God never ends and is always fresh and new.  This gives reason to know that every person matters to God, every detail is noted, and every prayer is received, heard, and answered.  So.  I HAVE HOPE  for you right now.  And.  I pray HOPE will be yours.

I pray you can lean on these three words today, “I HAVE HOPE.”
