I know the hard of life is a lot to face right now. I also know God will give you the courage to manage it all. I’m not saying you don’t or won’t have fear but I’m saying it will not win when you seek God first.
One thing I know–in the hard of life–God will fight for you. I’ve experienced it firsthand. I look backwards to all the hard I’ve experienced myself and with others and I can tell you God is not only present but is in the midst of it all. God is always present, always fighting for you and I. Always.
Remember the word, “always.” It’s powerful to realize God is always faithful to fight for you.
You’ve probably already realized that I have a lot of favorite scriptures–like a whole Bible worth of scriptures–yet, here is a big time favorite from the old book of 2 Chronicles which has changed my outlook on the hard of life:
Stand and watch, but do not fight the battle. There, you will watch the Eternal save you, Judah and Jerusalem.”
The whole chapter is worth an in-depth review; however, I hope that you will sit and meditate on these words from 2 Chronicles 20:17. It has held me and others through some tough times:
- Stand–I will not lay down and let the hard of life win.
- Watch–I will seek God first and be aware of the unseen of God’s work.
- Do not fear or worry–I will not let fear or worry consume me, but rather, I will hand it over to God, trusting God to be with me as I go through the hard.
- Believe–God is faithful. I will believe God is faithful. Always.
You will get to the other side. And. One day you will look backwards and tell the story of how God always fought for you.
God is . . . with you . . . fighting for you. . . and will walk with you to the other side–Kerrie
