Gifts In The Story

There are gifts in the story of life.  Always.  But.  There are times that the gifts are easier to see.

I spent Saturday with Tricia, Troy, Madelyn, and Sydney.  The whole day was the gift.  Rare.  A treasure in the story of life.

I am a believer in looking for the gift of the day, knowing the Writer of my story is generous with giving gifts.  I know there are times I am not attentive to the gifts put before me.  Sometimes the busyness and stuff of life take front and center.  It’s just how it is for most of us.  So.  It’s imperative to keep attentive to the gifts woven into the every day.

The Writer of your story is generous with giving gifts.  Look for the gift written in your daily story.  Celebrate the gift, regardless of your circumstances.

The words of James from the Bible reminds us:  “Every good gift bestowed, every perfect gift received comes to us from above, courtesy of the Father of lights. He is consistent. He won’t change His mind or play tricks in the shadows” (James 1:17, The Voice).

Take a moment today.  Look for the generous gifts written into this day by the Writer of your story. Being attentive to the gifts changes the way we think, act, and manage the rest of the story–Kerrie
