But. By The Grace Of God . . .

I know the days have been long for you.  I know you have been seeking, praying, and asking with each breath.  I am praying with and for you.   Friend, I keep thinking of the words, “But.  By the grace of God . . .”

These are words that have spoken to me throughout the years and I pray they will speak to  you right now, right where you are at today:

But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me (I Corinthians 15:10).

The but is big.  (You know I had to say that.)  The big but interrupts it all, changes it all, and it’s not without effect on you and I.  It changes every detail of what we face.

But.  By the grace of God,.

Here it is . . . the grace of God is on you and in you.  All the time.  The grace of God interrupts what’s happening in the pain, in the hopelessness, in the pressure, in the storm.  And, it changes you and I.  In our weakest moments, by the grace of God, we are strong.

By the grace of God you are not alone in all of this.  God has gone ahead of you.  God knows what is front of you.  God is with you.  God will not leave you.

Here’s the picture of the working power of grace in words:

“Be strong. Take courage. Don’t be intimidated. Don’t give them a second thought because God, your God, is striding ahead of you. He’s right there with you. He won’t let you down; he won’t leave you” (Deut. 31:6, The Message).

Friend, I know giving you these words to you might seem pointless.  It’s easy to think, but what about . . . but this is . . .but.

I know it all seems too much and too big.  But. By the grace of God there’s more to your story:   God is striding ahead of you.  God is there with you.  God won’t let you down.  God won’t leave you.

I not only believe it, I’ve experienced it, I’ve seen it in other lives.  This is not pie-in-the-sky some nice Christian fairy tale.  It’s real.  It’s what I am praying for you.  Right now. In fact, I am praying the grace of God constantly interrupts your day.

” God will you interrupt the stuff of this day with Your undeniable, powerful, amazing grace?”

But. By the grace of God–Kerrie

PS But.  By the grace of God . . . The Red Door Community Church . . . is being realized.  It’s a reminder to you and I that the impossible becomes possible  with God!  It’s all about the grace of God at the beginning, middle, and end or our story.

The Red Door life and grace

By God’s grace . . . the door was open so long ago at a little church with the red door in Port Townsend . . . and I learned and received God’s grace.

At age three . . . the people of the church . . . planted seeds of big faith in my life.
