It seems to me, one of the hardest things to do in life is to be the best and give the best to someone that does not do the same. YET, when it’s accomplished, despite the hard, there’s a change. Always.
Let me tell you it’s not easy to give certain individuals my best when they return it with less than their best, or worst yet, disregard it. BUT. You and I exist for something far greater than the way we think someone should act towards us or for a circumstance to turn out perfect.
I know. This is a discussion in itself. Don’t get me wrong, when all said and done, I want and appreciate perfect moments.
Even so, I’ve learned God is the Perfect in the equation of it all. So, instead of expecting someone or something to be perfect, I’ve learned that first and foremost, I need to pursue God, surrendering my expectations, receiving the best from God, and then, despite it all, give the best of what’s been given to me. Remember, I’m not saying this easy. BUT. The best way to live is to honor God by taking responsibility to be and give the best, trusting God to work all things out in the best way.
Romans 8:28 talks about how God takes it all and works it out in the best manner:
We are confident that God is able to orchestrate everything to work toward something good and beautiful when we love Him and accept His invitation to live according to His plan. Romans 8:28 (VOICE)
God gives nothing less than the best.
Here’s the thing:
Life changes when the choice is made to be a reflection of God’s best regardless of the imperfect.
I encourage you: Be and give the best–there will be no regrets when life is lived in this manner.
Miss Ellie has brought some of the best moments this week:
