I’m organizing . . . my writing . . . files . . . house . . . thoughts. You name it, I am organizing, keeping some things, getting rid of others. And. I found a keeper-quote from Madelyn when she was five:
“You know, you don’t need to worry. God’s right here and everywhere.”
Simple. Pure. True.
And. Yet. Worry settles in easily, stressing our body, mind, and spirit. Medical science has proved that stress leads to disease (dis-ease).
Jesus made the point in the ancient days, “Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life (Matthew 6:27, NIV)?”
Worry is a habit which must be let go of in order to be healthy.
Jesus said to: “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and then all these things will be given to you too. So do not worry about tomorrow. Let tomorrow worry about itself. Living faithfully is a large enough task for today” (Matthew 6:33-34, The Voice).
Jesus made it clear that worry does not belong in our life. Period.
Worry is toxic, messing with what is thought, said, and done. It needs to be thrown out of the mind before it piles up and brings dis-ease within ourselves, impacting every area of our life.
So. I’m asking God to reveal the spaces in my life that I’ve allowed worry to reside and even pile up–and getting rid of it all!
Throw out what does not belong. Take a breath. Relax. Let the worry go. Get rid of it. Seek the kingdom of God and God’s righteousness, remembering God is true and will do more than can ever be imagined, making all things possible, moving the mountains, transforming an ending into a beginning, with love, grace, and peace beyond reason.
Yesterday at the playground with Madelyn–no worries there–just fun!
