Adversity. No matter what you can get through.
These two words are key.
Even, if, you’ve tried to live WITH-GOD and things have not seemed to get better, you can get through.
Sometimes it’s hard to believe God is God or for that matter there is a God.
Doubt and unbelief are a part of the battle of the darkness of the adversity in this world.
Trust and belief are possible.
I know it’s simple advice. Adversity still must be managed.
I’ve learned one thing in the midst of adversity: It’s important to take a break from it all.
Stop. Stop being consumed by it. Stop focusing on it. Stop thinking about it. Stop talking about it.
I get it. It’s hard to not focus, think, and speak on adversity.
But. Whatever or whomever you and I are consumed with will eventually direct and impact how life is lived.
I encourage you to take a break from it all. It’s imperative to experience life, even if, it’s only a day without being consumed by it all and to experience a day set apart WITH-GOD.
I’ve based much of my life from the GOD-WORD in the book of Lamentations, written in a time when the people faced unthinkable adversity:
The key in the Lamentations GOD-WORD is this: GOD IS FAITHFUL. Period.
And. The words of Jesus found in Mark 10:27 (NLT) have defined my life. They are key to living beyond whatever comes our way.
Jesus said these words as he looked intently at the people:
Jesus did not just say these words–he looked intently at the people. There’s nothing like living WITH-GOD.
Yes. The impossible becoming possible is incredible. But. It’s the words, WITH-GOD that does me in. Because. It means that nothing has to be done on our own or with only human beings. Everything about life changes when it’s lived WITH-GOD. Now. That’s amazing!
Even in the worst of times, I can tell you for sure GOD IS FAITHFUL. And. That living WITH-GOD changes everything. So. Take the challenge to take a break from being consumed with adversity and become consumed with what it means to live WITH-GOD.
May you be covered with the presence of the love and faithfulness of God.
May your life be set apart for God, not adversity.
May you experience this day WITH-GOD.

The impossible has become possible. I had begun to think it would not happen after praying for decades. But. God is God. I’m KEYED-UP, grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the beginning of The Red Door Community Church.
I will be preaching about the key, “WITH-GOD,” on Sunday, August 30, at 10:30 AM at the West Salem High School for a pre-view service.
Pray. Come. And celebrate the WITH-GOD life! No matter what the adversity is . . . you can get through . . . WITH-GOD!
