This weekend.  Miss Ellie (Elizabeth) Hope celebrates her third year.  I often call her Miss Elle (L)–because of the light of hope that came into the world with her.

The thing is . . . it’s amazing to experience the blazing light that comes from all four . . . a felt energy of joy and hope.

In their normal everyday existence, these four anticipate the best of what life has to offer.  They are not only well-fed and cared for but have daily opportunities to learn, to be creative, and to have fun.   They believe– deep within– each new day will be great.

And.

These four have an army of people determined to make sure they live well.

I’m grateful.

At the same time, there are those who do not have the same kind of opportunities.  Nothing hurts worse than to know there are children who live a life of suffering and hardship.  It’s easy to be overwhelmed by this world-wide problem and think it’s too big or too hard to find a solution.

As far as I’m concerned, there’s a solution for every problem.  Most often, you and I are part of the solution.  So.  The way you and I live is key to solving this and every ongoing problem.

I refer to the 3 RDC keys as my guide to live the best life, managing whatever comes my way:

~Develop and be in relationship with God and one another, which is the meaning of life.

Key:  Relationship

Action:  Be a part of a community of faith and develop a relationship with God and others.

~Be equipped to live the best life.

Key:  Response.

Action: Take classes, read books, belong to groups, etc–and learn the best way to live.  Implement.

~Unleash my life and impact others.

Key:  Reach

Action:  Intentionally bless one person, one organization, etc.

I believe these keys are crucial to living the best life,  derived from Christ’s words to live by:

Make it a great day today–intentionally bless one child with a simple act of kindness.

This is hope–Kerrie

And–Happy Birthday Miss Elle (L) –may every day be a great day!
