Rise Up. Shine!

There’s something hard each day in our world.

Yesterday.

Baseball and shooting.

It’s one of many tragedies.

Some in the headlines, some behind closed doors.

Senseless.  Horrific.  Painful.

Hard.  Pointless. Darkness.

Hatred.

I know I need to be more in prayer. So. I,m committed. My heart goes out to all who’ve been hurt and harmed. My sorrow knows no end.

The one thing I know to be true is that none of us are to be victims of the darkness;  we’re called to rise up and to shine.  It’s a part of the prophesy of God’s favor issued to the dark ancient world, which continues to be released generation after generation:

Arise, shine, for your light has broken through!  The Eternal One’s brilliance has dawned upon you.

See truly; look carefully—darkness blankets the earth;  people all over are cloaked in darkness.  But God will rise and shine on you;  the Eternal’s bright glory will shine on you, a light for all to see.

Nations north and south, peoples east and west, will be drawn to your light, will find purpose and direction by your light.

In the radiance of your rising, you will enlighten the leaders of nations (Isaiah 60:1-3, Voice).

As I prayed for our world today, the truth of these words spoke to me as a prophecy for what God has assigned:

Look beyond the darkness of the world.
The Light of God is radiating from heaven to earth.
There’s something more to be seen today . . .
which is . . .
the Light of God in you and on you.
Rise up. Shine.

May you and I live in this prophesy today.  Rise up.  Shine–Kerrie
