I’m thrilled when things go well. And. relieved. Sometimes I find myself waiting for the next thing to go wrong rather than right. I’ve said it before – these are the times I’ve missed the whole point.
Let me tell you the big secret about this — It’s all a matter of perspective. Yep. All those days I thought were imperfect may have been better than ever, if, I would’ve only looked at it all differently.
Perspective is pivotal in defining life. Let’s be honest how many times have you told God that you would do anything, if, you were relieved of one specific difficult thing in your life? Don’t even try to tell me you never have. It’s what we do when we don’t know what to do.
The thing is . . . when one situation is resolved. . . .something always comes next. Always.
Did you assume I meant something hard comes next? I did not. Perspective–is the big secret to managing life – including the interruptions.
It’s a process given the challenges of life. I have to be extra vigilant every day and actually every moment with these things in mind:
- Where is God in this?
- What is God’s perspective on this?
- What are the God-possibilities and my impossibilities in this?
- What is my God–given responsibility in the best outcome?
So, basically what I am trying to say is that perspective is key. And, you and I are ultimately responsible for developing a perspective that is not contained by our limitations but is free to see more through the power and presence of God.
That my friend, is my big secret – Kerrie
