A Summer Song For You

I am one of those.

I love spending time thinking on God-words.

I often say–this is one of my favorite passages when I refer someone to the B.I.B.L.E.  It all started when I was in elementary school and went to church for Vacation Bible School every. single. day.  Loved it.

I still have the crazy little tune and song wandering around my mind clear back from those long ago summers:

The B-I-B-L-E
Yes, that’s the book for me
I stand alone on the Word of God
The B-I-B-L-E

Seriously.  How can that little song stick with a person for sooooo long?

Okay.  Back to what I originally thought I would say today:

Take a look at John 8:23-24 in the Message.  These are OVER THE TOP amazing words for the soul. Take a few moments to sit on these words:

Jesus said, “You’re tied down to the mundane; I’m in touch with what is beyond your horizons. You live in terms of what you see and touch. I’m living on other terms. I told you that you were missing God in all this. You’re at a dead end. If you won’t believe I am who I say I am, you’re at the dead end of sins. You’re missing God in your lives.  (John 8:23-24, MSG)

Here’s the thing . . . everything that comes our way . . . holds more amazing possibilities than  can be imagined.  BECAUSE.  Even the hardest of hard interruptions can bring something so good when you and I invite God into the the center of it all, freeing us from what is to be able to move into what can be.  The interruption becomes an intersection with God.

Each time I arrive at the intersection, I realize  God is the SONG of the heart.

I pray you hear the Song today–Kerrie
