Early New

I love the early hours of the morning.  It’s the time of day that’s helped me through the seasons of life, especially in the hard of it all.  My soul needs the early more than it needs extra sleep.

It’s when I can actually be quiet.  It’s refreshing and life-changing every. single. day.

New comes in the early morning.

I’ve seen.  I’ve experienced.  I know the truth of it.

The light invades the darkness of the night bringing the new of the day.

The power of it is pressed into one of my favorite God-words found in Lamentations 3: 22-24 in the Voice translation:

How enduring is God’s loyal love; the Eternal has inexhaustible compassion.  Here they are, every morning, new!  Your faithfulness, God, is as broad as the day.  Have courage, for the Eternal is all that I will need.  My soul boasts, “Hope in God; just wait.”

These words were broadcasted by the ancient man, Jeremiah, who was known as the weeping prophet.  The prophet saw the world sitting deep in a dark pit.   BUT.   He also saw the light breaking through the darkness, giving promise and power to the deepest and darkest of times.

These words have held and changed me.  I stand with Jeremiah, certain that God never fails, waiting with hope for the moment the Light breaks through the darkness with a love so powerful that our NEW begins right then and there.

Praying for your NEW in the early of the morning–Kerrie

~I hope you will take time with this God-word from Lamentations, allowing it to grab your soul.  You can find a bit more about it in these articles:
