We sat at the table together–a good portion of the RDC faith community–sharing lunch and conversation. One of the many things I love about our community is that we’re all ages–not young or old–BUT balanced. I think it’s easy to miss the value of what it means for all generations to be in community together.
I blame my generation. We believed our generation knew best. We were wrong. I don’t think we should segregate ages but instead integrate ages.
Anyways . . .
One of my favorites comes to the table each time we meet. She’s 84. She and my dad are the oldest in our faith community. She’s sassy and always has something to say. The thing is . . . we all lean in to hear . . . ready to laugh as well as to receive her wisdom.
Here’s my take-away from what she said this last Sunday:
Appreciate the moment.
Enjoy your life now.
I mean. Seriously. These are wise words to live by–Kerrie
I would love to connect with you.
