Change The Narrative

A little boy fell after disregarding what he was told to do.  He began crying.  His father picked him up.

I’m not sure if, he was crying from fear of punishment or pain.

But.  His dad held him and said, “It will be okay.”

I could not take my eyes off of the father and son.

I mean.

The power of love in that one moment was breath-taking.

I thought how much more does God love all of humanity?

Even after a lifetime of the with-God life,

I’m astounded by the truth of

God’s love.

Regardless of who we are or what we do,

God’s hard-core love supersedes it all.

God’s love says to you and I today: ” IT WILL BE OKAY.”

God’s OKAY is beyond imagination.

The thing is . . .

The story is not just about the little boy receiving undeserved love but about how the father’s narrative changed by offering it.

If, we miss the point of what love means to our own story,

then, we will fail to see the power of deploying love to others.

At the end of the day, you and I can be sure God’s love changes the narrative of humanity’s story.

And, you and I have been assigned to love all with God’s love.

Jesus simply said:  “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another” (John 13: 34, NIV).
