The day before THE SOLAR ECLIPSE is the perfect day to try something new–to ditch your normal routine–and take about 30 minutes to be online with Red Door Church (RDC).
No. It’s not RDC normal. It’s new for this one amazing Sunday. Because. We have been feeling we need to abandon our typical Sunday routine and do something crazy-fun once in a while.
So. We will not be at our campus on the top level of the historical Old Methodist Church at 1219 3rd St. NW Salem 97304–BUT we will next Sunday, August 27 @ 10:30 am.
THIS SUNDAY–TOMORROW –We will be meeting online for a very unique Sunday morning experience.
There’s several reasons we chose August 20th.
The thing is . . . I may have thought and made some comments about the solar eclipse hype in Oregon . . . as being like the long ago Y2K hype, suggesting it was brought on by Y2K has-beens. And, then some of our own RDCers who are government officials and law enforcement officers said they preferred people to stay off the roads on Sunday and Monday.
Oops. Who knew?
Since RDCers come from all over the Willamette Valley–we knew 8.20.17 would be the best to do something new for one fun Sunday morning!
Let’s have fun. Grab some coffee and log on a few minutes before10:30 am (Pacific Standard Time) tomorrow, August 20, at http://rdcsalem.com/ and click the ECLIPSED link. Type your name in as soon as you arrive in the morning. And, encourage your friends to do the same!
It’s something new–that’s for sure–Kerrie
