Coming Together

THE TABLE is missing in so many lives.  BECAUSE.   Busyness and the pressures of life are on the rise like never before.  THE THING IS . . . people have become so immersed in the doing . . . that being with one another on a deeper level is secondary due to the required time and effort.  Could it be that we’ve  lost sight of the all important life-giving reasons of being seated together at the table?

I believe if, THE TABLE is missing from our lives, then, we will eventually miss the point of the true meaning of life.

So.  Last week at RDC–I talked about the power of the word, “with.”  I love the words of Jesus at the table.

—When the meal was prepared, Jesus sat at THE TABLE, joined by His emissaries.
Jesus: It has been My deep desire to eat this Passover meal WITH you before My suffering begins.

 (Luke 22:14-15, Voice).

I mean. I’ve been meditating on  this statement.  Jesus could have done anything else—but he wanted to be at the table WITH his friends and shared the vision of what would BE.

Can you imagine—Jesus—GOD WITH US—wanted to sit down and be in conversation and eat with his friends before he went to the cross to bear the pain of all humanity—because he could not wait to tell them he was breaking through the power of darkness and death.

There’s more on last week’s podcast @

We all were challenged to put the  spiritual practice in place:

Plan a time around THE TABLE—to be meaningful and mindful for one or more—whether it’s over a cup of coffee, or in a restaurant, or at home— let them know you are excited and your anticipating your time TOGETHER. REFUSE BUSYNESS TO GET IN THE WAY OF THIS SACRED PART OF LIFE. This is to be practiced as Jesus did at the table—giving love and grace—speaking life about the MORE God offers. As a friend of God we have the opportunity to give grace and celebrate others like no one ever has. It’s a gift to be WITH one another at the table and essential to live the best life. WELCOME THEM with love and grace.

So . . . there’s this Sunday morning–November 12 @ 10:30 on campus ( @ 1219 3rd St Salem 97304)
and on our podcast ( . . . and it’s huge.

I’m beyond excited to be WITH you–Kerrie

Grateful to have had our last time together at the table with Mom Palmer three years ago.
