I’ve been there . . . in the thin place . . . where there is little, if any, distance between heaven and earth.
Love, the kind that lasts no matter what, is found in the thin place. This love is the real-deal never-dying, always-strong, take your breath-away-God-love. It’s given to humanity to love their one-another(s) all the way through.
As a pastor, I’ve walked beside people in their toughest and most difficult times to find myself welcomed and included in their space without reserve. As I entered in, I knew without doubt, they were sheltered in the thin place because of this love, which gives more than enough to weather the storm.
The thing is . . .
I’ve also experienced the thin place with those in their once-in-lifetime sacred celebrations— where the joy of love is so present that the heart is bursting and the soul is dancing. Even when it’s time to go home, the celebration is remembered and felt forever.
And . . .
There are times the thin place finds me. It happens when one of our little ones is crazy-excited to see me, when I sit at the table with family and friends talking about everything and nothing, when someone goes out of their way to do something beyond reason, and of course the best and most powerful—when I know there is love no matter what.
So . . .
I pray you enter into a thin place today—a space with the kind of love that changes everything and everyone—Kerrie
